General dental care treatments:
Examination:
- helps detect abnormalities of the soft tissues and bone structures of the face and neck area
- helps detect pathological events (decay, gingivitis, abscess etc.) that might occur in the oral cavity
- often completed by periodontal charting and X-rays
- recommended frequency- twice a year

Radiographic examination:
- Bite- wings: shows upper and lower teeth’s biting surfaces
- Periapicals: shows the complete image of a tooth and the bone surrounding its root
- OPG: shows all teeth on a big film, taken outside of the mouth
Hygiene procedures: preventive dentistry
- cleaning the teeth- scaling and polishing
- recommended frequency- twice a year or once every three months for patients with gum disease
Fissure sealing: prophylaxis measures
- application of a composite resin over the biting surface of a tooth to help prevent decay
- recommended for children and teenagers on newly erupted molars
Extractions:
